Many basketball players want to simply learn how to dunk the easiest way possible, and then there are also other basketball players some want to learn how to dunk a basketball with style. If you want to learn how to jump higher than it is not something that you can achieve overnight and in fact it will take quite a while for you to be able to see some results in your vertical training programs. When we are talking about time, I am mentioning about weeks and maybe even months. So this is why when athletes tell me how are they going to be able to increase vertical and how much time will it be able to see results. I always tell them that time will tell and occasionally this means months.
The answer is not simple when it comes to learning what exercises you need to do that will strengthen the leg muscles and increase your vertical. However with practice and tries, you will learn for yourself just which exercises are good for you and which ones will give you the best benefits and results in a short timeframe. The key problem for you is that do you have the patient?s and the ability to retain determination for a long period of time enough so that you can achieve your goal of being able to dunk a basketball just like you have always wanted.
I bet you that not many athletes will want to wait several months going through trial and error only to find out that they have not been able to increase your vertical. But this is what separates you from the other athletes in the fact that you are able to have a great amount of determination to achieve your goal while others are not. If you want to learn how to increase your vertical then you will need to have a great amount of patience and persistence as well.
One thing that I would recommend that you do is to get a weight training manual or a simple booklet on weight training and follow the exercises that work on the leg muscles. When you have figured out which exercises you want to do then you will want to perform them and then record over the next two weeks how they have helped you to jump higher and if they have not help you to increase your vertical then you know which exercises is not for you.
