Nutrition and diet for kids are always a challenge as our kids are constantly bombarded with pretty and persuasive ads in Television, internet and video games and their tendency tend to be for foods that are ready made like potato chips or drinks that satisfy their thirst quickly but not necessarily healthy. Children need to not only eat healthy but to have a choice in what they eat as their body?s may require a certain amount of different nutrients in order to keep their body?s running well.
- Start with cheese.? The protein found in cheese can keep your kids energy level high throughout the day and this means that they are burning calories, also a high energy level is require when they are doing their homework and this will motivate them not only to do it but to do it right. ?A big reason most kids do bad in their homework is that they are just not motivated or better said, their body?s do not have the proper fuel to learn. Try cutting the cheese in different shapes and maybe adding healthy yogurt dips.
- Go with fruit. Fruits are a great way to keep your kids healthy and also you have the advantage that if your kids like to eat like mine do they can basically eat as much as they like. ?Fruits are a great source of important nutrients that our kids need for proper growth and development.
- Why not peanut butter. Not only will peanut butter help you think more clearly but will also help your kids get the nutrition that they need from the protein and other nutrients found in peanuts. Do keep in mind that roasted peanuts have an increase in p-coumaric acid levels which can boost its antioxidant content by 22%.
By choosing wise foods for your kids to snack on they will certainly be healthier, stronger and fitter. ?Happy snacking.
