Kids? Clothing Service thredUP Raises $14.5M Series C, Plans Expansion Into Teen & Adult Apparel

thredup-logo_blackOnline kids? clothing consignment shop?thredUP?is taking in additional capital in order to further scale its operations and expand to new verticals, the company announced today. New investor Highland Capital Partners led thredUP's $14.5 million Series C round, which also saw participation from existing investors Trinity Ventures and Redpoint Ventures, bringing the company's total raise to date to $23 million. As a part of the funding, Dan Nova of Highland, whose portfolio includes other shopping-focused startups like Rent the Runway and Beyond the Rack, will now join thredUP's board of directors.
