Can An unlicensed person buy auto insurance for their car and have other drivers?
My husband owns a car but has no drivers license at this time. He wants to insure his car and have friends drive. Is this possible?

No he can't. You have to have a valid driver license. Have him put the car in your name and you can get the insurance for him if you have a valid license.

Yes, your husband will be able to purchase auto insurance for the car he owns. All household residents and any regular operators of the vehicle needs to be listed on the application or a claim could be denied due to material misrepresentation. Some companies will not allow a policyholder to be unlicensed and therefore excluded as a covered driver.
