Self-Assured, yet unassuming, SCEF, Newton?s favorite son stepped unto the music landscape fusing classic hip-hop sounds with poignant spoken word. Born Charles Forward, the sleepy eyed artist attributes his success to the wisdom imparted to him by his mother, and his mother?s mother, both of whom he pays tribute to in his debut project ?Hip-Hop Is Poetry? released in August of 2004.
