UK High Court rules ISPs to block Pirate Bay, forgets it ain't the boss anymore

The High Court has ruled that British ISPs must block web-browsing citizens from accessing the infamous Pirate Bay. The controversial ruling comes just six months after the European Court of Justice (a superior court) declared that companies like Sky and TalkTalk were protected against injunctions to block, filter or monitor internet traffic for that purpose. Virgin Media told the BBC that it would comply, before sensibly adding that censorship measures like this are ineffective in the long term.

We carried it as our daily driver during this year's CES and were won over by that gorgeous screen, speedy LTE and its thin and light design. Unfortunately our experience matched those in the review: herky-jerky performance and battery life that meant we were always on the lookout for a power point. Is this RIM's BlackBerry 10 development device?

You know the drill -- grab yourself a spoonful of Morton's and get ready for another supposed leak of a gadget. This time around, you're looking at what's claimed as being one of Research In Motion's BlackBerry 10 "Development Alpha" devices that'll be handed out during next week's BlackBerry Jam -- just like the company promised a month ago. Images of the device first surfaced over at CrackBerry's forums and, as the site points out, the touchscreen candy bar seems to share its design DNA with the PlayBook. Keeping in mind that it's likely to remain a testing device for devs, don't bank on it ever hitting store shelves. That said, we're now curious how pivotal a role RIM's famous tactile keyboards will play on its next-generation phones -- if any. Believe It Or Not: Justin Bieber Unveils Album Cover!

Pop star tweets standard and deluxe album covers for June 19 release, cryptically telling fans, 'expect the unexpected.'

<P>Judging by the cover art for <a href="/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>'s <i>Believe</i> album, the 18-year-old pop star is well aware of one of his best assets: his boyish good looks. One Direction's Harry Styles is opening up about the older ladies he's crushing on, and nowhere in there was Taylor Swift's name mentioned, despite rumors that something romantic might have been brewing.

According to the Sun out of the U.K., the floppy-haired boy bander is crushing on three ladies even older than 22-year-old Swift: The 18-year-old shared that, if given the chance, he would date Angelina Jolie (36), Kate Moss (38) or Kate Winslet (36). Any of those three wouldn't be his first older woman: He previously dated 32-year-old TV presenter Caroline Flack.

For any girl out there who is not one of those three superstars and is looking for a way to catch the singer's attention, Styles candidly revealed what he likes his ladies to wear. "I like my girlfriends to wear black lingerie ... definitely," he shared.

But, the romance talk didn't end there. He noted that if he sees a lady he thinks is pretty, well, he doesn't exactly have any smooth lines he likes to use on her. "I'm not really a pick-up-line guy. I don't know what I do," he confessed.

Harry has been linked to quite a few ladies since 1D dropped their debut album, Up All Night, last month — none of which have been Winslet, Jolie or Moss. However, his list of rumored ladies does include American singer Lily Halpern, New York-based photographer Sarah-Louise Colivet, Victoria's Secret model Emma Ostilly and former "Bachelorette" Jillian Harris.

With some time off before the guys kick off their U.S. tour next month, Styles is opening up about his favorite places and how he's looking forward to the downtime. "I'm so tired. It was pretty intense, but a lot of fun. I have six weeks to chill out now," he told BBC Radio 1. "My favorite places were New York and Sydney. I'd never been to Australia or New Zealand before, so that was sick."

NEW YORK — After the Tupac hologram performance at Coachella made such a huge splash, the team behind the projection system floated the possibility this week of an Elvis hologram to perform with Justin Bieber. Even '90s girl group TLC is rumored to be considering a virtual version of the late Left Eye on their upcoming tour.

With all that talk, MTV News hit Times Square to ask fans which departed artists they would most like to see perform in hologram form. While some of those interviewed wanted to see other rappers like the Notorious B.I.G. or Nate Dogg, one fan thought Whitney Houston should get the honors.

"I love her, I grew up singing her [songs], just walking around the house when I was seven or eight," Shayana of Houston said.

Brits Amy Winehouse and John Lennon of the Beatles were also popular picks, and a few rock fans mentioned Queen's flamboyant frontman. "It would have to be Freddie Mercury because Queen were one of the all-time greatest bands and he was a showman," said a fan named Rob.

Blane Mader would like to see a hologram of another great showman, Michael Jackson.

"It's a really cliché answer, but in my time I've never seen him and it would just be something awesome to watch," Mader said of the King of Pop.

Members of the Jackson 5 recently announced that they would love to have a virtual Michael on their upcoming Unity Tour. "Wouldn't that be wonderful? As a matter of fact, we had that idea two years ago for Michael's Cirque du Soleil show," Michael's brother Jackie Jackson told E! News.

Nintendo's gunning for retailers, expanding eShop offerings for Wii U, 3DS

Nintendo is going to sell its 3DS and Wii U games through the eShop as well as on the high street. Concerned about the money wasted in "inventory," the company will let consumers choose where they get their fix from. The first two games to get the treatment will be New Super Mario Bros 2 and Onitore Brain Training (working title) for the handheld, with more expected in the future. As consumers transition to downloads, the company will keep its brick-and-mortar partners on-side by allowing them to sell "activation codes" to the digital titles -- although that does mean you'll have to drive down to Gamestop and back.
